This week I….

Oh look at me the bad bloggeress( yes thats my title, I’ve decided) it’s nearly the end of monday and I havent done this yet! I’m not actually sure what to write because alot of this weeks dealings are hush hush. But here goes, this week I….

…am loving a secret project (or two)

I know I’m such a tease posting this but I honestly can’t give away details.

All I will say is it’s big and could help me and the blog ALOT.

Watch this space

…want to go to Hogwarts

The reason behind this is not the Harry Potter DVD release.

On saturday I’m visiting Alnwick with my old creative writing group.

We’ll be going to the christmas market and book shops, sadly not Alnwick Castle.

….am feeling truly festive

The above picture incase you’re curious is my Grandad last christmas day (in his sunderland santa suit!)

I seriously just want christmas to hurry up now- the cards are sent, secret santa is packed off, the shopping is done.

That and I’m a big child really

….am in love with a geek

This geek- ok I know this mightn’t exactly come as a shock.

But I recently recieved a text from one of the besties Gemmy informing me just how much he is on tv over christmas

It’s alot.

…am toast

I recieved this cute “you’re toast”  Temp Sec necklace from my lovely friend bethan.

I think he’s actually gorgeous, she got a christmas dugong!

….STILL need your votes

Go on click on the picture to vote me as British Style Bloggers blog of the month.

Surely I don’t have to explain how much it means to me do i?

Insomunista

Incase you guys cant tell by this post made at 7.54 I don’t sleep very well. So well infact I went to bed at 12.45 last night, woke my mother up at 2 and proceeded to do so practically every hour until 7.15. Poor mammy, she’s an angel she is.

Anyway I digress with the life story, the point of that was that despite having a grand total of about 2 hours sleep I am still determined to be stylish and happy-coining the phrase Insomunista!

So what am I up to right now? Well I’m rewatching last nights Strictly come dancing, I blogged last night that Ali deserved to win and I feel I jinxed the poor thing. Seriously how did she go out?

The point of this post though was to introduce my new feature, as its the beginning of the 12 days of christmas today I’m going to start Rachy’s 12 days of christmas.  Each day I’ll have a little treat, a new treasure or just a lovely picture to get you feeling all festive. The next post shall be the first so keep your eyes peeled!

I’m going to finish the post now before I tell you about something that I may have coming up that I’m very excited about and don’t want to jinx. Don’t ask me about it! We do love a secret project don’t we?

Saturday night babbles

Hi guys, you know what lets have some randomness in the blog again. Just because I’m so happy today.

So tonight is  BIG night for tv isnt it? I’m talking about the X factor final of course. After being on itv for the past 4627295 weeks we’re finally at the final. To be honest I don’t really have a favourite, I like them all in different ways. Joe is the little cheeky northerner who gives you a shcok with his big voice, Olly is the charmer and Stcey well how could you not love her? However according to my old college I should vote for Joe just to show how loyal I am to the North East I actually recieved this through the post yesterday:

This afternoon I saw the new trailer for St Trinians 2, which by the way I am dying to see for one reason only. yes that’s right David Tennant. If you follow me on twitter you will know how much of a stalker fan I am of the lovely man and I already thought I was as excited for the film enough- I mean hes being posh- then the advert shows him being devious and a burglar in leather I can’t fnd any pictures of this yet but here’s david wet (oh please, you filthy brained girls)

As I type Strictly is just starting, it’s the final of that next week. Now strictly is my real passion, the dancing is so passionate and not forgetting the outfits. The slow dances always have the best ballgowns, I wish I was a princess. Ali and Brian are my favourites, maybe it’s because theyre together but the passion between them when they dance is amazing. And Ali is gorgeous

I’m also so pleased that Darcey Bussell has joined the judges for the finals, she is one of my heroines as shes so determined and in control of herself and shes not in bad shape for her age!

Today’s a really happy day I love weeks like this, it’s getting so close to christmas that everything just has a sparkle to it. And no I still haven’t came down from my high for being nominated BSB’s I know its a bit silly how much I’ve banged on about this but I’m just shocked I never thought it would be read let alone popular. Oh you guys just wait for my blog  if I win, it’ll be like an oscars acceptance speech. So I’ve became Barack Obama with YES WE CAN but anyway click the picture to vote

And that’s about it, hope you all have a great night

x

Planet saver for five hours

Photobucket

So as you have may read, today was the day I took part in Fashion Activism to tie in with the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. Meaning as challenged by Claire at BSB this morning I turned off my heating and dressed in my biggest and most fabulous winter woolies that I normally wouldn’t wear.

It just so happens though that the weather thought it would give me a helping hand too and made it the coldest day of the season so far, complete with fog and frost. So because of my rheinauds and arthritis I didn’t take part all day as I didnt want to put any strain on my body.

I told my dad about the project and he decided we should walk to the shops and town aswell cutting our carbon emissions more. I planned on carrying on for 6 hours (9-4) but my mother has just came home from work and put the heating and fire on!

So yeah I guess what you’re interested in the most is my outfit, so here it is:

I dug out my brown faux suede skirt which i havent worn since last year but is incredibly warm and comfy and team it with a red jumper both from matalan. Underneeth I wore  a pair of thick grey tights with black lace patterned tights on top and then some santa patterned bed socks on top (just for a festive touch!) For extra warmth instead of wearing my normal boots I wore my suede wedged boots from Faith, which I got as  present from a friend in the summer when she was having a clear out and havent yet had a chance to wear. On top of it all to keep me extra cosy I wore my big chunky wollen cardigan, fingerless gloves (both from primark) and a dogtooth scarf (matalan again)

I think my post also shows that aswell as helping save the planet you can save money on more affordable clothes.

I hope I’ve helped play my part towards bringing down climate change, I just wish I could have done it for longer.
